Our Commitment to Child Safety

MRVA upholds the Child Safe Standards and follows Volleyball Victoria’s Child Safeguarding policies and Codes of Conduct, which form the foundation of our child safety framework. These standards guide our practices, assist us in identifying and managing risks, and ensure our staff and volunteers are equipped to respond appropriately to any concerns.

We are committed to:

• Zero tolerance for child abuse
  Taking all allegations and safety concerns seriously and responding promptly

• Meeting our legal and moral obligations to report concerns to the appropriate authorities

• Preventing harm by proactively identifying and reducing risks

• Supporting and respecting all children, staff, and volunteers

• Providing a culturally safe and inclusive environment for Aboriginal children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with a disability
  
  

All members of the MRVA community are required to adhere to our policies, procedures, screening requirements, and Codes of Conduct to ensure the highest level of care and protection for every child involved in our programs.

Working with Children Requirements

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young participants, all adult Coaches, Team Managers, Officials, Staff, and Volunteers working with children under the age of 18 at the Macedon Ranges Volleyball Association (MRVA) are required to:

• Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  
  

• Link their WWCC to Macedon Ranges Volleyball Association (MRVA)
  
  

• Complete and submit a Member Protection Statutory Declaration
  
  

A copy of your WWCC card and a signed Member Protection Declaration must be provided to MRVA before commencing any role involving children.

If you do not yet hold a WWCC, you can apply online at:

When completing your application:
